Instructions for First Time Visitors

Please read through these instructions. You'll find important information here that will maximize your experience using our site.

On this page you will find the following:

1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

This site was created to connect and re-connect with our classmates (even those who have not attended any reunions). Our goal is to make this site a scrapbook of memories for all classmates and their families.

Everything you need to know about setting up a profile to gain access to our website is on this page. If you have questions, click on Contact Us on the left side of this page.

2. PRIVACY NOTICE

All contact information (address, phone number, e-mail address) that you enter into this website will be kept confidential. The host of this web site is ClassCreator.com. They understand the importance of your privacy. Your personal information will never be sold to other sites. It will not be shared or distributed.

Your contact information is private; your street address, e-mail address, and phone number cannot be seen by classmates. Each classmate has the ability to limit the visibility of his or her profile to only fellow classmates by clicking on the appropriate answer in the Profile Visibility section during profile setup. If you do not opt for privacy during set up, your profile can be viewed by non-members such as your friends or family, but also note your profile will be fully indexable by major search engines.

To validate your privacy settings on our class website, you may search Google or other major search engines.  The search you use can simply be your name and PHS Class of '62.

  • If you are signed on to our website and have restricted your profile to only fellow classmates, and then use a search engine to see if the privacy options above are working, it will appear they are NOT. This is only because you are signed into the site. Sign out and check again. You will see that none of your profile information is viewable by non-members.

All class news sent from this web site.  For those of you with spam blocking or email filtering capabilities, please add noreply@classcreator.net to your email account as a safe sender in order to ensure you receive email communications from us.

Please note that if you do not want your name and picture on this site both can be removed by clicking Contact Us. This will end all communications to you from the Pocatello Senior High School Class of 1962, unless you ask that special arrangements be made.

3. SETTING UP YOUR PROFILE

In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site, you must set up a profile by providing at minimum your email address and a password.

To set up your profile: Locate the Classmate Profiles link on the left side of this Home Page.  Then locate your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile. After Step 4, you are logged in as a new member.

We encourage you to add a current picture in the upper left corner of your profile page. You may also upload a "Now" photo, and a "Then" photo.  A Yearbook Photo has already been added for most of our classmates. Classmates will enjoy seeing how you've changed.  To add these and other photos, see ADDING PHOTOS, Item 6 below.

Passwords do not need to be the high security style recommended for some sites. Choose something simple that you are certain you will remember. Clicking "Remember Me" when logging in will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit.  If you forget your password simply click on “Forgot Password?”.  If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set-up your account, Contact Us. This could take a while so please be patient.

Note that private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates. We collect these in the event that we need to contact you by snail mail or phone. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission.  If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please Edit Contact Info so we have current information.

4. MISSING CLASSMATES

The site assembles a missing list based solely on the names of classmates who don't have profiles.  Until you have a profile, the site will consider you "missing".  In other words, anyone from our class who has not signed up as a member of our website is "missing" and will be listed in the Missing Classmates section.

We need your help to contact EVERY classmate. If you have information about any missing classmate, Contact Us

5. COMMUNICATING WITH CLASSMATES

To contact a fellow classmate who is a member of this website, you simply use the email option at the top left of each classmate's profile page (located under Master Photo). This feature will allow open communication between classmates, while protecting your personal information. If you wish to share your email address or other personal information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.

6. ADDING PHOTOS

Before proceeding, please read Photo Terminology Clarification located on the Home Page.

Adding current photos to your profile page is not a requirement to participate in this website, but it certainly is a nice way to get to know people again. We've had reports of classmates who were routinely running into each other without knowing it, because...well....we've all changed a little over the years.  The following is a guide to help you in adding photos.  Much of this is intuitive.

Filling in the photo boxes at the top of your Profile:

  • Click on Edit Profile under MEMBER FUNCTIONS on the left side of the Home Page.
  • Roll your cursor over any of the photo boxes. Click on Select Photo in the photo box you have chosen.  Then click the Upload a new photo button.  You cannot upload a yearbook photo if one has already been provided.
  • Select the desired photo from your computer photo file.  After it is uploaded, click on the photo again and it will be downloaded to your profile page.  Ignore Edit Details (which is for adding photo captions), as photo captions won't show up on a picture in the four photo boxes.

Adding "Profile Gallery" images to your Profile:

  • Again click Edit Profile under MEMBER FUNCTIONS on the lefe side of this Home Page.
  • Click the "Click to Add" square in the upper right corner of your Profile page. These will be your own Photo Gallery images.
  • Click on the Upload a new photo button.  The photo will then appear on a location that collects all your uploaded photos.
  • Any photo that comes up sideways or upside down can be corrected by placing your mouse on the pencil in the upper right hand corner of the photo, then clicking on Adjust Photo and the programmed Photo Editor will show up with your photo.  In addition to putting your photo right side up, there are many features you can play around with.  Whatever you do with the Photo Editor, don't forget to hit Apply and then Save.
  • Next, click to select images you wish to display in your Photo Gallery. All images with a green check mark will be displayed on your Profile page. Click again to remove the green check mark and the photo will not be displayed.  After selecting the photos you want displayed, click the Done button.
  • To add a caption under your images, roll over any image and click on the Edit Details  button.  Enter your caption and click on the Save Changes button.
  • You can adjust the display order of your photos by simply dragging and dropping them into the positions of your choice. When finished adjusting the order of display, click on the Done button.
  • While here, you can switch back and forth from Edit Profile to Preview Profile using the two buttons at the top.  When you preview your profile, you will see what others will see.

Adding photos to the Reunion Photo Albums and Other Photo Albums:

Instructions for adding photos to the Reunion Photo Albums and Other Photo Albums are different than instructions for adding photos to your Profile page described above.  These instruction are shown near the bottom of the Home Page.

7. SITE PAGES

If you're ever curious about any link on the site (those titles on the left side of the Home Page), just click on it. There isn't anything on our site that will hurt your computer.  Wherever a link may take you, you can click on either picture at the top of the page (the '62 Rock or the school picture) and you will be returned to the Home Page.  Relax!  Explore! Enjoy!
